Every effort is made to construct windows from timber sourced from renewable resources and a variety of glass can be used for glazing including the most popular, Pilkington 'K' glass for its energy saving properties.

Why choose wood?

Wood has many benefits over UPVC namely that is is significantly better for the environment.

A report by the WWF concluded that PVC windows were found to be less sustainable and more hazardous than wood. PVc is made from a non-renewable source, oil, which makes up 43% of the raw material and generates 8 times more energy to manufacture than timber windows.
