Glass

Our sealed double glazed units are manufactured to EN 1279/2 standard using Pilkington K glass with a 16mm air gap which acts as an insulator and minimises condensation as well as keeping the warmth in and the noise out.

The range of glass designs is vast and a brochure is available on request (maybe we could put in a link to Pilkington glass range).

These include Flemish, stypolite, autumn leaf, sycamore, to name but a few.

Safety glass as standard

For added security you may wish to consider toughened double glazed units, in the unfortunate event of a breakage the unit will shatter into only small, relatively harmless pieces.

We use toughened glass as standard in full height panels, doors, porches and conservatories within 80cm of the floor as per building regulations.

Our regular supplier is City Glass, Halifax.

We use FENSA registered fitters

Windows fitted by
FENSA registered fitters

FENSA stands for the Federation Self-Assesment Scheme. It has been set up by the Glass and Glazing Federation(GGF), with Government approval, in response to the new Building Regulations for England and Wales. From April 1st 2002 all replacement windows have to comply with improved thermal performance standards.

When having windows and doors replaced from this date, homeowners must ensure that they get a certificate from Local Authority Building Control or have work completed by a FENSA Registered fitter.
